Director of Quality Management

Responsibilities

Oversight and responsibility over all quality, risk management, and patient safety-related activities within the organization
Directs the efforts of all the performance improvement initiatives to ensure overall compliance with all regulatory standards, including national, state, CMS, DNV, and other agencies
Works with clinicians and administrators to improve overall patient safety and systems level outcomes
Responsible for the facility’s quality, patient safety, and risk management programs with an emphasis on patient safety, and harm reduction
Supports, promotes, and encourages a culture of safety throughout the organization

Qualification

Required

Current RN licensure appropriate to state regulations (unrestricted) required
3 years of management experience in Nursing (acute care preferred) and/or Quality role
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Detail-oriented, able to meet strict time frames

Preferred

BSN Preferred
Certification in Quality (CPHQ or HACP)
Infection Prevention experience preferred
Experience with NHSN and IRF QRP data preferred
Experience includes primary responsibility for performance improvement activities regulatory compliance, infection control, and risk management activities
