Responsibilities

Completes work rotations in clinical research, biospecimen collection and processing, clinical regulatory management, data management, and human research protection

Shadows experienced study coordinators and assists regulatory staff

Recruits and consents study subjects, conducts research interviews, processes biospecimens, and completes case report forms

Learns and participates in protocol development, credentialing, preparing, and submitting Institutional Review Board (IRB) applications, writing consent forms, preparing physician orders, processing IRB amendments, and electronic data capture

Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style

Performs other related duties as assigned

Required

High school diploma or equivalent

1 year of clinical experience, OR bachelor's degree in healthcare or related field

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 60 days of hire

Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications

Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally

Strong interpersonal skills

Organizational skills

Preferred
