Production Inspection Engineer - Early Career
Lockheed Martin is a leader in aerospace and defense, seeking a Production Inspection Engineer to join their Manufacturing Engineering Team. The role involves assisting in the inspection of assemblies for the F-35 program using advanced technologies and providing support for corrective actions and process improvements.

Responsibilities
Reads/interprets component and assembly blueprint geometric dimensioning and tolerancing and customer specifications for use in defining manufacturing methods and requirements
Investigates manufacturing issues and defects to determine root causes, and defines and provides support for corrective actions., determines root causes, and defines methods for resolution
Identifies opportunities and develops methods for process improvement
Works closely with shop floor personnel to acquire feedback on manufacturing processes and tooling
Performs training of supervisors, other engineers and operators in use of inspection equipment and software
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks with minimal direction, and quickly shift priorities within a constantly changing work environment
Demonstrated strong analytical, problem-solving capabilities
Proven capabilities to manage multiple tasks/projects within defined and compressed timeframes
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a technology-related degree plan, e.g., Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering
Experience in Operations Manufacturing environment

Preferred
Product inspection experience
Skilled in the use of 3D scanning equipment and associated software
Knowledge of or training in the use of MetraSCAN Optical 3D scanning equipment and VX Elements software, or other optical scanning equipment and software types
PolyWorks Inspector software knowledge/experience, or equivalent 3D metrology analysis software
Reverse engineering experience and associated software knowledge
CMM or Faro/Romer Arm inspection Equipment Experience
