Dexter is a premier manufacturer and supplier serving various markets, and they are seeking a Search Engine and Geographic Optimization Intern for Summer 2026. The intern will support digital marketing efforts by evaluating search performance, optimizing content, and improving SEO and GEO strategies.

Responsibilities

Analyze website and search performance using tools like Google Search Console and Google Analytics

Conduct keyword research and identify content and search gaps

Assist with on-page SEO optimization (titles, meta descriptions, headers, internal links, content alignment)

Work with an agency on GEO projects

Review search queries and user behavior to identify tuning opportunities

Support content refresh and optimization efforts

Help improve click-through rates (CTR) and search relevance

Create clear, actionable insights and recommendations for the team

Track and report on SEO performance and trends

Qualification

Required

Strong interest in SEO, digital marketing, analytics, or content strategy

Understanding of basic SEO concepts (or strong desire to learn quickly)

Organized, curious, and willing to ask 'why'

Ability to balance analysis with action

You must be actively enrolled an accredited university working towards a bachelor's or master's degree program during the internship

Relevant fields of study include Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, Business Analytics, Information Systems, UX, Journalism, or related disciplines

Students from other majors with demonstrated interest or experience in SEO and search optimization are encouraged to apply
