Law Clerk
The Commonwealth of Kentucky is recognized for its exemplary public defender system and is seeking a Law Clerk to support the criminal defense team in the LaGrange Trial Office. The role involves assisting attorneys with legal research, client interviews, and other duties in both office and courtroom settings.

Qualification
Required
Completion of twenty-four semester hours at an American Bar Association accredited law school
Demonstrated a desire to help the most vulnerable in their communities
Exhibit exceptional planning and organizational skills
Self-directed and comfortable working with a defense team which includes attorneys, investigators, alternative sentencing workers, and office administrative staff
Understanding that it is a privilege to represent clients
Preferred
Recently completed all coursework at an ABA accredited law school to receive a JD degree and plans to take the next available bar exam
Recently received their license to practice law
