Responsibilities
Supporting the NSWCDD V Department with advanced ship and combat system integration engineering across a wide range of platforms and programs, including:
AEGIS modernization and in-service combat systems engineering
DDG-1000 mission systems engineering
Ship Self-Defense System (SSDS) engineering
Littoral Combat Ship (LCS), Unmanned Surface Vessel (USV), and Frigate combat systems
Operations and force analysis
AEGIS Combat Direction System support
AEGIS Ballistic Missile Defense systems engineering
LBTTS planning and activation
System analysis and enterprise systems engineering support
Modeling and simulation
Combat system virtualization for the United States Marine Corps
Foreign Military Sales (FMS)
Future surface Navy combat systems
Qualification
Required
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, science, or a technical discipline, or four (4) years of equivalent technical experience
Four (4) years of professional experience with emphasis in one or more of the following areas: Combat Systems Cybersecurity, Ship Self-Defense System (SSDS), Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) platforms, AEGIS Integrated Combat Systems, DDG-1000 (Zumwalt-class) destroyers, AEGIS Ballistic Missile Defense, Weapon and sensor combat systems
Preferred
Active DoD Secret clearance
Prior experience supporting NSWC Dahlgren or NSWC Crane
