Responsibilities
Coordinating Medicare and Medicaid enrollment and re-enrollment
Managed care credentialing and contracting
Serving as the administrator for the billing system
Resolving billing system issues
Maintaining provider identifiers
Monitoring accounts receivable
Maximizing reimbursement
Acting as a key liaison between patients, insurance carriers, billing vendors, and internal practice staff
Qualification
Required
1-3 years of experience with Medicare and Medicaid provider enrollment and re-enrollment
Working knowledge of NPI registration and maintenance
Experience following up on claims, denials, and appeals
Strong understanding of billing, reimbursement, and accounts receivable
Excellent communication and customer service skills
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple follow-ups
Preferred
Experience with managed care contracting
Familiarity with Athena (Athenahealth) or similar billing systems
