Responsibilities

Developing hazard analyses and safety assessments

Analyzing and recommending safety criteria in system design and procedures

Preparing and delivering technical presentations and documentation

Coordinating and leading System Safety Working Group meetings

Reviewing specifications and design changes for adverse impacts to system safety

Participating in accident investigations and identifying corrective actions

Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance

Experience performing hazard analyses and recommending safety features

Experience developing and implementing system safety programs

Experience preparing and delivering technical presentations and documentation

Experience coordinating and leading System Safety Working Group meetings

Experience reviewing specifications and design changes for adverse impacts to system safety

Experience participating in accident investigations and identifying corrective actions

Collaborative and detail-oriented professional with a passion for system safety

Strong background in engineering

Preferred

Experience supporting independent government Safety Review Boards

Knowledge of Human Factors Engineering

Familiarity with missile and launcher systems

Secret clearance with current 6-year background check

Model-based engineering knowledge

Experience with DOORS requirements application

Self-starter capable of performing tasks with little direction

Effective analytical problem solving skills

Ability to perform detail-oriented work with a high degree of accuracy

Able to learn and work with System Safety specific software tools
