Badger Talent Solutions is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager for a full-time, on-site leadership role in the Greater Milwaukee area. This position plays a key role in leading engineering operations within a precision machining and metalworking environment, managing a team of engineers, CAD techs, and support staff.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technical staff, providing guidance, feedback, and growth opportunities
Drive the execution of engineering projects from concept through production, managing resources, timelines, and budgets
Review designs, guide trade-offs, and support continuous improvement in tooling, fixtures, and machining processes
Collaborate with Manufacturing, Sales, and Quality teams to align engineering output with customer requirements
Analyze process metrics, rework data, and late-job trends to optimize quality and throughput
Oversee quotations, routings, and corrective actions using ERP systems (SAP experience preferred)
Champion safety, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional communication across all engineering activity
Evaluate and implement new technologies (e.g., EDM, tool inspection systems, digital measurement tools) to improve process efficiency

Required

Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of experience in precision machining, tool design, and manufacturing engineering
Leadership experience in an engineering or technical environment
Working knowledge of machining techniques, spindle/tool holding systems, and metalworking materials
Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
ERP and MS Office proficiency, including Excel

Preferred

SAP experience preferred
Proficiency with CAD software (Siemens NX or SolidWorks preferred)
Experience in Aerospace, OEM, or regulated manufacturing environments a plus
