Responsibilities

Coordinate and manage the work of professional consultants with emphasis on facility architecture and engineering components and utility systems related to building systems design and construction of mid -sized commercial type construction projects

Coordinate the planning, development, review, and construction of assigned projects

Evaluate technical concepts and details related to general architecture, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing project management, new technologies and systems, such as energy management systems, and technologies to improve airport operational efficiency and reduce energy consumption and costs

Performs additional relate work as required

Required

Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or closely related field OR equivalent related work experience

5 years of project management experience including design document reviews, cost estimating, specification reviews and construction administration, or 10 years of field experience specific to the architectural discipline

Preferred

10 or more years of experience in project management

5 years of building technical experience

Facilities related project management including experience with building systems (MEP, Low voltage electrical, construction and building trades general knowledge)

Experience in all aspects of design and construction, renovation, and repairs to mid-sized commercial construction projects, preferably at airports or intermodal transportation hubs

Experience in working with multi-building institutions or campus environments

NC-licensed Professional Architect (AIA)
