Responsibilities
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities across multiple insurance and reinsurance entities
Prepare and post journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses
Support consolidation accounting, including intercompany eliminations and roll-ups
Assist with financial statements and internal management reporting
Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts with a strong focus on accuracy and timeliness
Work closely with actuarial, underwriting, and finance teams to support insurance-specific accounting matters
Assist with audit and regulatory reporting support, including P&C insurance requirements
Help improve processes, documentation, and controls as the organization continues to grow
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably within P&C insurance, reinsurance, or financial services
Strong understanding of GAAP
Proficiency with Excel
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a remote environment
Preferred
Experience working across multiple entities and exposure to consolidations
Insurance accounting knowledge is a plus
Experience with accounting systems and consolidation tools preferred
