The ONE Campaign is a global, nonpartisan organization advocating for investments to create economic opportunities and healthier lives in Africa. They are seeking Advocacy Fellows in Florida to mobilize communities for global health programs, fight poverty, and engage in U.S. foreign assistance advocacy.

Responsibilities

Mobilize peers to take action on global issues like HIV/AIDS, poverty, and access to health care through direct communications with your representatives and senators, letters to the editor, and community outreach

Organize ONE events or actions, such as letter-writing campaigns, tabling, or briefings

Track and report on outreach activities and campaign engagement

Coordinate with ONE staff to prepare materials for congressional outreach and advocacy meetings

Maintain and regularly update a district-specific portfolio that includes key demographic data and detailed profiles of assigned Members of Congress, including their background, policy interests, voting record, and public statements

Participate in ONE’s national training calls and digital campaign updates

Monitor relevant legislation and stay informed about U.S. foreign assistance policies

Depending on the fellowship term, assist in planning and supporting key advocacy activations such as Africa Day, World AIDS Day, August Recess, or other major campaign moments relevant to the spring, summer, or fall calendar

Required

Passion for social justice, public health, foreign policy, and/or international development

Reliable and organized with strong written and oral communication skills
