One Line Manager - Warehouse
City Electric Supply (CES) is a family-owned electrical wholesaler that emphasizes a customer service-first approach. The One Line Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the one-line department and ensuring efficient operations of the assembly department while promoting teamwork and collaboration.
Responsibilities
Plan, direct and coordinate the operations of the assembly department and complete reports related to production and staff
Assist with the coordination of employee training and evaluation of warehouse employees
Assure timely filling and completion of customer order by efficiently utilizing resources
Follows standard manufacturing procedures and monitors work to meet product specifications and production targets
Communicate and work closely with other departments
Produces components by assembling parts and subassemblies
Reads and deciphers schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions
Uses hand tools to assemble parts
Collaborating with team in order to assemble products
Identify defective and handling them according to established procedures
Monitor inventory for correct quantities of components
Verify resources and supplies prior to assembly
Inspect tools and equipment necessary to perform the task
Coordinates job assignments and cross-training between and within divisions
Coordinates with other departments to ensure timely delivery of components
Enforce work standards and handle disciplinary processes
Play a key role in the implementation of new processes and/or standard operations procedures
Operate and maneuver material handling equipment and any material(s) contained thereon in the manner consistent with the intended purpose of the equipment and the manufacturers’ instructions
Maintain the warehouse in an orderly and clean state; follow all company safety procedures; perform daily safety inspections (follow LEAN principles)
Monitor workplace safety and strive to prevent injuries and accidents
Ensure a healthy and productive work environment
Identify deficiencies and/or areas of improvement and communicate to management team for resolution
Any other duties assigned by the Fulfillment Center Manager
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED, bachelor's degree preferred
Five to ten years of previous warehouse experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Individual must have PC skills and product knowledge
Must possess interpersonal skills, organizational skills, be self-sufficient, detail oriented, and have an ability to communicate effectively
Valid driver's license and/or CDL and ability to obtain forklift license
Preferred
Electrical product and application knowledge
Electrical product materials handling experience
Background in wholesale electrical distribution
