DevOps Application Specialist

Responsibilities

Architect, build, and maintain automated systems for deployment, configuration management, and infrastructure provisioning using tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
Develop and manage Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI to automate code integration, testing, and deployment
Deploy and configure applications in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and manage virtualized or hybrid environments
Deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise applications, ensuring seamless integration and updates
Utilize containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes to manage and scale applications
Implement monitoring and alerting systems (e.g., Prometheus, Nagios) to track application performance, identify issues, and ensure system stability
Integrate security practices into the DevOps lifecycle, ensuring compliance with policies and using tools for security monitoring and code analysis
Thoroughly document all solution details, processes, and configurations
Work with cross-functional teams, including developers, operations, and support staff, to resolve issues and provide technical support

Required

Bachelor's degree and/or 2 to 5 years of experience
TS/SCI required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI with Poly highly desired
Strong understanding of Linux fundamentals and system administration
Experience with major cloud providers like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform
Jenkins, GitLab CI, Travis CI
Docker, Kubernetes
Ansible, Chef, Puppet
Python, PowerShell
Prometheus, Nagios, Splunk
Git, Bitbucket
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders
