Responsibilities
Manage general ledger and corporate accounting functions across multiple business units
Oversee fixed asset and lease accounting processes
Prepare monthly financial reports, journal entries, and account reconciliations
Lead the month-end and year-end close cycles, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Support internal and external audits with documentation and reporting
Collaborate with feedyard operations and cross-functional departments
Qualification
Required
Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate or general accounting
Direct experience in cattle, livestock, or commodity-related accounting required
Strong understanding of GAAP, reconciliations, and financial reporting
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting or ERP systems
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Preferred
Background in agricultural, feedlot, or commodity trading environments
Experience working in decentralized or multi-site operations
Strong analytical skills and ability to manage competing priorities
