Responsibilities

Maintain accounting systems, procedures, and methods to ensure accurate recordkeeping, account reporting, and general ledger management
Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger, focusing on membership dues and other revenue streams
Prepare monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, including bank reconciliations, investment analyses, and account reviews, promptly resolving discrepancies
Prepare weekly cash forecasts and manage cash batching in the AMS
Assist with the preparation of the annual audit
Develop, implement, and maintain internal financial controls, policies, and procedures to enhance efficiency and manage risk
Serve as the staff liaison to organization committees and networking groups as assigned
Support the CFO in creating annual budgets, financial forecasts, and long-term financial plans aligned with strategic objectives
Assist the CFO with special financial projects, analyses, and reporting as needed
Supervise and develop accounting staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
Perform additional financial and administrative duties as needed to support organizational goals

Required

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field
4–6 years of experience in nonprofit or trade association sectors, with demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles and accounting systems
Strong self-management and results orientation, with the ability to set realistic goals, monitor progress, and achieve objectives in a fast-paced environment
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize deadlines, and work effectively under pressure in a collaborative setting
Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, ensuring high-quality output across various projects
Commitment to Quality: Consistently upholds high standards of work and quality assurance
Compliance: Adherence to organization's data confidentiality, security & privacy policy, and other workplace rules is mandatory
Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship or restrictions
