Responsibilities
Collaborate with customers, sales, and engineering teams to define requirements and technical specifications
Develop conceptual and engineered solutions for enclosure products with focus on manufacturability, cost, and performance
Create 3D models, 2D drawings, and BOMs using CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred)
Interpret customer drawings, specifications, and application needs
Support quoting activities with scope definition, feasibility analysis, and cost input
Coordinate with manufacturing to ensure design intent and quality standards are met
Assist with prototypes, testing, validation, and design modifications
Interface with vendors to gather specifications and quotes
Participate in continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives
Support customer calls and technical discussions as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
OR Associate degree with equivalent technical experience
1–5+ years of relevant engineering experience (enclosures, custom fabrication, industrial products preferred)
Strong proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar)
Solid understanding of materials, fabrication methods, and manufacturing processes
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Experience working in project-based, cross-functional environments
Preferred
Familiarity with UL, CUL, or other compliance agencies
Experience integrating mechanical and electrical systems
Exposure to non-catalog or custom engineered solutions
Ability to lead technical discussions and support sales conversations
