New Product Development Engineer
OFS is looking for a teammate to collaborate with various teams to bring products to market that support human needs and solve challenges. The role involves engineering new products, creating specifications, and leading prototyping efforts across diverse markets.

Responsibilities
Understanding and engineering products that adhere to our design ethos and the designer’s design intention until circumstances call for adjustment
Responsible for engineering new products and enhancements including
Creating product specifications based on market requirements
Manufacturing/material/tooling process selection
Collaborate with our Supply Chain Sourcing to select best case suppliers
3D CAD model creation and documentation
Conduct technical and design reviews and BOM creation
Create marketing and instruction documents
Coordinate product testing
Lead prototyping and sampling efforts to make timely, informed decisions
Conduct, validate and document first article review and analysis, component integrity
Ownership that products meet/exceed industry standards and performance
Qualification
Required
Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field
Minimum of two years of experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment (including internships or co-ops)
Capable of creating 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks
Solid communication skills to effectively articulate ideas and challenges
Appreciate and execute to engineer with purpose with regard for the environment, value and manufacturability
Ability to work in a team environment and individually to develop the best solutions for each product
Open-minded, energetic and a positive attitude when work intensifies
Preferred
Experience with IMOS iX software is preferred
