Pinnacle Partners is assisting their client in their search for a NOC Tier 2 Network Operations Technician to join their team as a remote resource. This role is responsible for supporting the broadband and commercial network by troubleshooting escalated incidents, provisioning services, and maintaining overall network health.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents escalated from Tier 1 support
Provision and deprovision routing, switching, access, and service provider circuits
Monitor network performance and participate in planned maintenance windows
Execute approved network changes, follow-up remediation tasks, and incident resolution activities
Maintain accurate documentation, ticket updates, and change records in accordance with operational processes

Required

2+ years of recent Tier 2 (or higher) NOC experience within a service provider or ISP environment
Hands-on experience supporting fiber broadband, PON, DSL, or cable networks
Strong working knowledge of service provider routing and switching technologies
Experience working with SP-grade network operating systems
Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and broadband home networking
Ability to clearly communicate technical issues and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences
Comfortable working across Windows, Linux, and mobile operating systems
Process-driven mindset with experience following ticketing, change management, and documentation standards

Preferred

Experience working with Cisco, Juniper, or Ciena equipment in MPLS service provider environments
Exposure to Ciena MCP, Navigator, or MCMS platforms
Professional service provider certifications (Ciena CRS, MEF, CCNP-SP, JNCIS-SP, Nokia NRS)
Scripting experience using Python or Bash
Prior systems administration experience in Windows or Linux environments
