Responsibilities
Gather, analyze, and document clear, unambiguous, and testable business requirements
Facilitate requirements-gathering workshops and meetings with project stakeholders
Analyze current-state (as-is) and future-state (to-be) business processes, systems, and data
Translate business needs into functional requirements for technical and non-technical audiences
Ensure requirements align with project scope, objectives, and delivery timelines
Develop and maintain the project backlog in Azure DevOps during Agile projects
Create and manage epics, features, user stories, and work items
Partner with Product Owners to prioritize backlog items throughout the project lifecycle
Monitor requirements and backlog changes to ensure alignment with project objectives
Support production and maintenance activities through effective backlog management
Use existing templates and standards to create and tailor reference materials and documentation for BA, QA, and SME roles
Ensure cohesiveness and consistency between business teams, technical staff, and the PMO
Add contextual guidance for using Azure DevOps to support Agile development and maintenance teams
Drive process improvement initiatives related to business analysis and quality assurance practices
Provide training, coaching, and shadowing for current and future BA/QA resources and SMEs
Adapt standards, policies, procedures, and templates to meet specific business area needs
Promote best practices in requirements management and Agile delivery
Work closely with UI/UX architects, developers, QA testers, database administrators, and other project team members to ensure shared understanding of requirements and solution scope
Support build vs. buy analysis through requirements and impact assessment
Ensure appropriate stakeholder engagement and awareness related to data and information governance needs
Provide analysis related to project benefits and impacts of scope or requirement changes
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required
5+ years of overall professional experience
5+ years of experience in: Requirements gathering and business process analysis
5+ years of experience in: As-is / to-be process documentation and content creation
5+ years of experience in: Training, teaching, or coaching roles
Strong Azure DevOps experience: Creating and managing epics, features, user stories, and backlogs
Strong understanding of BA, QA, and Development roles and responsibilities
Experience working in Agile delivery environments
Excellent written and oral communication skills (required)
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
