Responsibilities
As Associate General Counsel, you will serve as a key legal partner to Sharp’s business units, providing day-to-day legal advice on contracts, commercial operations, marketing initiatives, and anything that impacts their business
You will work closely with executives, department heads, and employees to understand business objectives and provide clear, actionable legal guidance. An ideal candidate has the ability to balance legal risk with business realities to offer practical solutions that allows the business team to take acceptable risks
A significant portion of this role involves reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a wide variety of agreements across both B2B and B2C business units. These may include purchase and sale agreements, vendor and supplier contracts, service orders, leasing and credit agreements, program letters, and other commercial arrangements. You will also conduct legal reviews of marketing and advertising programs, promotional materials, and other public-facing communications to ensure compliance with applicable laws and internal standards
Depending on your skill set, you may also be asked to oversee and coordinate matters handled by outside counsel, including both transactional and litigation matters, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and alignment with company objectives

Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor degree
5-7 years of relevant commercial legal experience
Ability to manage complex legal matters independently while collaborating effectively across functions
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-management skills
Practical, business-oriented approach with a strong service mindset
Flexibility, accountability, and a willingness to support the organization wherever our expertise is needed
