Responsibilities

Build automated ingestion pipelines to convert SolidWorks models into Unreal-ready assets using Datasmith
Develop scripts to load assets, assign materials, apply camera presets, and execute large batch renders
Architect and manage Unreal-based batch rendering using Movie Render Queue and Thinkbox Deadline
Create structured systems for SKUs, material libraries, environment variants, and output naming conventions
Establish clean Unreal project standards including master materials, camera rigs, level templates, and sequencing
Implement networked rendering infrastructure to scale parallel execution across multiple render nodes
Support animated shots, particle FX, and dynamic environmental conditions through scripting and automation
Partner closely with Creative, Engineering, and IT teams to maintain performance and throughput at scale

Required

Proven experience as an Unreal Engine Technical Director or pipeline developer
Strong scripting skills in Python, CLI tools, and Unreal Blueprints for automation
Hands-on experience with SolidWorks model prep, STEP imports, and Datasmith workflows
Experience scaling render queues using MRQ, CLI workflows, or Thinkbox Deadline
Confidence automating PBR material assignments and managing foliage or Nanite assets
A performance-minded approach to Unreal project structure and optimization

Preferred

Houdini or Cinema 4D experience for procedural or pipeline-driven asset generation
Experience with cloud-based render scaling (AWS or GCP) or containerized Unreal builds
Background in studio visualization, architectural visualization, or e-commerce rendering pipelines
