Responsibilities
Oversee and coordinate all shipping and receiving operations to ensure accurate, timely, and cost-effective movement of goods
Lead, prioritize, and support shipping and receiving staff, providing guidance and hands-on assistance as needed to meet operational demands
Evaluate shipping methods and carriers (UPS, FedEx, courier, LTL, freight), plan shipment routes, and manage carrier relationships to optimize service levels and costs
Serve as the primary point of contact for carriers and freight providers, resolving complex logistics issues, discrepancies, and claims
Oversee domestic and international shipments, including preparation and review of bills of lading, packing lists, and customs documentation
Manage inventory systems and transactions (NetSuite), ensuring accurate receiving, shipping, serial number tracking, reporting, and warehouse organization
Maintain and review shipping and receiving reports, identifying trends and opportunities for operational improvement
Develop, implement, and maintain efficient, scalable processes while ensuring compliance with safety, security, and regulatory requirements
Lead by example in promoting a safe work environment and supporting warehouse safety initiatives
Collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, operations, finance, and other internal teams to align logistics activities with business needs
Assist with training, onboarding, and mentoring of shipping and receiving team members
Support audits and inspections related to inventory, safety, and compliance
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
