Responsibilities

Design and build Python-based backend and integration services using FastAPI
Develop and manage multiple external API integrations across various LMS platforms (e.g., Blackboard, PowerSchool, etc.)
Build and support data import/export pipelines (Snowflake → downstream systems like SIS/SSIS)
Handle schema validation, data reconciliation, and data quality checks
Support document extraction workflows , including structured data from physical notes
Ensure compliance, auditability, and migration readiness across state reporting systems
Work in a pod-based agile environment with strong CI/CD discipline

Required

Strong Python backend development
FastAPI, REST APIs, JSON
AWS services: Lambda, SQS, SNS, metadata handling

CI/CD pipelines (PRs, merge workflows)
Infrastructure exposure: Terraform, Jenkins
Comfortable with ambiguity and evolving requirements
Thrives in a fast-moving, startup-style environment
Resourceful, pragmatic problem-solver
Writes mature, production-quality code
Communicates clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred

AWS Cognito
Prior experience integrating education platforms or LMS systems
Experience working with state or regulatory reporting systems
