The Catastrophe Claims Representative Intern will support the adjustment of property claims resulting from catastrophes, ensuring timely communication and effective management of the claims process.

Responsibilities

Manage and provide direction and support to a high volume of policy holders through the life of the claim

Interpret policy wordings, determine policy coverage

Adhering to policies, procedures, and Standard of Work documentation, and ensuring detailed and accurate records in line with regulatory requirements and company standards

Coordinating and managing services with vendors and service providers

Communicating with policy holders in a timely and proactive manner

Communicating claim decisions promptly and effectively, while delivering exceptional customer experience

Working in partnership with other claims staff in both an individual and team-oriented capacity

Maintaining an effective and current diary system and document claim file activities in accordance with established procedures

Perform other duties as assigned
