Senior Financial Analyst
TOPIX Skin Health is a national leader in the design, manufacture, and sale of fine quality skin care. The Senior Financial Analyst will support the Senior Director of Finance and manage financial aspects for the DERMA E and Think brands, providing actionable business analytics and recommendations while participating in the financial close and budgeting processes.

Responsibilities
Act as a business partner to the Finance, Accounting, Sales, Marketing, Operations and R&D business teams
Serve as a key contact and financial lead for the DERMA E and Think brands
Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the business drivers across the full P&L for the business teams and cross-functional partners (sales, gross-to-net deductions, COGS, Marketing, SG&A)
Play a crucial role in the financial monthly close process and provide analysis and commentary on key drivers vs. the budget, forecast and prior year, and lead monthly financial discussions with the business teams
Drive month-end activities such as (but not limited to) the following:
Analyze gross-to-net deductions by customer and category and recommend accruals/adjustments
Review operating expenses and recommend accruals/adjustments
Calculate sales commissions and bonuses
Build and enhance reporting to analyze performance and support decision-making
Assist in the development of the annual operating budget and forecasts providing specific, actionable, and forward-looking commentary on the various changes as well as guidance on potential risks and opportunities
Create comprehensive pro forma financial models for key business initiatives
Constructively challenge the cross-functional business teams while offering alternative recommendations on key business decisions
Provide training on financial concepts and systems to cross-functional business team members
Participate/lead various finance-wide projects which will vary depending on business needs and encompass multiple brands
Provide ad hoc financial and operational modeling and business case analysis in areas such as acquisitions and new product development
Actively evaluate areas where automation and continuous improvements can be implemented
Interface regularly with colleagues and leadership in every department including Finance, Sales, Marketing, Operations, R&D, outside consultants and team members at our private equity sponsorship group
Qualification
Required
Bachelors degree required
3-5 years experience in finance and/or accounting as a partner to cross-functional business teams
Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, advanced formulas, VBA macros, etc.)
Strong analytical/quantitative skills utilizing technology tools, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems
Knowledge of GAAP reporting
Proven ability to work independently and proactively to drive results and provide actionable insights based on data
Willingness and ability to learn quickly and manage multiple projects with attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all levels of the organization and functions
Positive, professional, and customer-centric approach
Ability to deal with ambiguity, change and a dynamic business environment
Ability to interact with all levels of management
Very strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills and ability to present to senior management
Excellent analytical and financial problem-solving skills
Preferred
Experience with manufacturing companies a plus
Experience with Prophix or a similar performance management system a plus
Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools is desirable, including SQL queries
Ideally interested in natural, clean beauty products
