Responsibilities

Responsible for staff growth, goal setting, reviews and day to day management

Hire new staff as needed to Team

Work with project managers to ensure projects are staffed correctly

Work with project managers on proposals, scopes and fees

Lead and perform design for various aspects of bridge, retaining wall, and culvert design

Prepare project analyses, load ratings, structure type studies, construction plans, and reports related to infrastructure projects

Use local and federal bridge standards to prepare preliminary and final design documents, cost estimates, and bid documents

Review or check design calculations, engineering estimates, and plans developed by others

Perform hydraulic studies in relation to bridge design development

Required

BS in Civil Engineering or related technical design field

A minimum of 10+ years of professional experience preferred

Must be a licensed PE

Must work near one of our Texas offices that staff are located

Must be a leader and have the ability to lead a team consisting of a variety of experience levels and backgrounds

Ability to work across disciplines to ensure project staffing or project completion

If licensed in another state, the ability to obtain a license in Texas

Ability to lead design as well as allocate work to others

Preferred

Prior people management experience is a plus
