Advanced Systems Engineer

Responsibilities
Perform technical execution, technical risk management, requirements management for customer missionizations and new products development for Honeywell Embedded GPS/INS product line
Perform customer flow-down requirement analysis, feasibility assessment, technical solution development including but not limited to test strategy and architecture development, test design and development
Develop system documents including but not limited to system-level requirements, Interface Control Document, Hardware Requirements Specification, Printed Board Assembly (PBA) Design Specification, Software Test Plan and Procedures (DO-178 compliant) for Software/System Requirement Verification, Hardware Verification Test Plan and Procedures (DO-254 compliant) for Airborne Complex Electronic Hardware Requirement Verification, Certification documents
Design and develop test cases/scripts and perform testing
Design and develop test cases/scripts for Complex Electronic Hardware Requirements Verification to meet DO-254 certification requirements and perform testing
Develop and maintain GPS/INS Navigation simulation and covariance analysis tests for Performance Verification Testing, Kalman Filter measurement design and selection, and to support software development efforts
Develop and maintain automated Spirent Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) simulation test framework
Develop and maintain automated Desk Top Simulation (DTS) test and Monte Carlo test framework
Update and maintain schedule and monitor development from the perspective of Systems Engineering
Manage internal and external stakeholders and their needs
Developing estimates for system development including, technical baseline definition, Risk and Opportunity, conditions, and assumptions of estimates in support of proposals
Identify and execute cost, schedule, and technical efficiency improvements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in technical disciplines such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems engineering across all lifecycle phases (i.e. requirements definition, system design, implementation, verification and validation, integration) within the aerospace industry
Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analytics, with proven ability to interpret complex datasets, perform predictive analytics, and apply statistical methods for actionable insights
Strong mathematical skills, including proficiency in statistical concepts and methods for effective technical analysis and reporting
Must be eligible to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance due to export controls and ITAR regulations
Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements
Preferred
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution
Master of Science or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution
Active DoD Secret Clearance
Hands-on experience in testing and debugging complex electronic circuits and software using tools such as oscilloscopes, network analyzers, multimeters, and logic analyzers
Proficient in MATLAB, Simulink, Python
Experience in Sensors, Guidance, and Navigation domains
Hands-on experience using Requirements and Configuration Management tools, including but not limited to DOORS, JIRA, BitBucket, Bamboo, and Collaborator to manage requirements effectively and ensure traceability throughout the development lifecycle
Advanced knowledge of DO-178 and DO-254 standards, including understanding all Stages of Involvement (SOIs) and associated documentation
Ability to quickly analyze and apply new information and concepts
Strong leadership skills, particularly with diverse global teams
Self-motivated individuals who work with minimal supervision and proactively complete tasks
Flexibility and adaptability to project changes in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills that foster a culture of open dialogue and feedback
Capability to multi-task effectively while maintaining attention to detail
Familiarity with military systems and software
