Georgia State University is seeking to hire a part-time Administrative Assistant (Temp) for the Office of International Initiatives. This role will assist Study Abroad Programs with daily operations and serve as the primary point of contact for customer-related inquiries, providing exceptional service to students, faculty, and staff.

Responsibilities

Serve as primary point of contact for all walk-in phone, email, and general inquiries related to study abroad programs

Greet students, faculty, and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner

Respond to routine questions regarding study abroad programs, application processes, deadlines, policies, and procedures, and refer to the appropriate staff member when needed

Manage a high volume of inquiries while maintaining accuracy

Provide administrative support to professional staff in collecting study abroad materials

Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk area

Maintain accurate records in study abroad related software

Provide support in articulating credit transfer

Assist with coordinating workshops, information session, and special events

Perform additional duties as assigned to support the overall goals and operations of Study Abroad Programs

Qualification

Customer ServiceMicrosoft SuiteHigher Education ExperienceOrganizational SkillsVerbal CommunicationWritten Communication

Required

Associate's degree or one year of administrative customer service, or front-desk experience or combination of education and experience

Preferred

Strong Customer Service and organizational skills

Excellent verbal and written skills

Experience working in a higher education or student services setting

Proficiency with standard office software (Microsoft suite)
