Responsibilities
Assist Director of Tennis with club tennis, paddle and pickleball activities, events, exhibitions, tournaments, and lessons
Develop and implement an annual Pickleball Program and Event Calendar
Provide pickleball and tennis lessons and clinics for members and guests
Administers and enforces club tennis policies and procedures regarding play on club courts
Plans and directs Instructional Pickleball Programs, Junior Tennis Programs, Club Events, tournaments & social play
Transfers all charges from the tennis shop to the accounting department
Ensures that all members receive courteous, prompt, professional attention to all tennis needs
Maintains accurate records of all lessons and clinics given
Inspects and maintains all physical areas constantly
Qualification
Required
Ability to promote and teach private and group lessons to juniors and adults on outdoor with soft or hard surfaces
Must possess a positive attitude and be reliable
Able to work a flexible schedule, evenings & weekends as necessary to perform the job successfully
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Strong technical literacy
Extensive Pickleball experience, or the willingness to learn more in depth quickly
Certification with Racquet Sports Professional Association (RSPA) or Professional Tennis Registry (PTR)
Certification with a reputable Pickleball Certification Organization
Preferred
College education preferred but not necessary
High level playing ability is preferable but not necessary for the right candidate
Experience running/teaching junior development programs and camps
Experience teaching students of all ages and abilities, including adult teams
