Responsibilities

Develop and execute strategies to expand the business with university agencies, increase revenue and achieve strategic objectives
Identify, rank, and manage new university prospects and opportunities and then successfully bring them through the sales pipeline to a successful close
Lead the preparation and review of proposals for new university locations and contracts
Support regional business development efforts, which include proposal development, financial underwriting, presentations, and oversight and assistance with location-based transitions
Develop and maintain strong relationships with university clients, partners and vendors
Work with regional offices to evaluate current and future university opportunities and ensure solutions are delivered to support internal and external university client needs
Responsible for the administrative ownership and understanding of university contracts and client relationships
Assist with the development of LAZ’s University Service strategic business plan, service line profitability and future direction for the division
Networks throughout the many national and regional associations, leagues, teams, and agencies to develop new relationships and continually maintain and strengthen current relationships/pipeline for strong business growth and retention
Supply financial reports, analyses and consultative reporting both internally to the Executive Team and externally to clients as needed
Monitor, review, and analyze specific growth markets
Assist the operations team with the transition of all new university locations added to the portfolio
Implementation and completion of other projects, programs, and initiatives that may arise from the portfolio’s operation

Required

BA/BS Degree required, preferably in Sales, Business Administration, Marketing
10+ years of parking industry experience is required
5+ years experience managing university operations
Strong personal relationship-building skills required
Ability to maintain professional working relationships with all levels of the LAZ organization and client organizations
Knowledge and understanding of university operations
Ability to communicate professionally and effectively
Excellent organizational and follow-up skills
Ability to multi-task and strong attention to detail
Ability to speak, read, and comprehend the English language
Must be open to feedback, differing opinions and other points of view
Demonstrates a sense of urgency and timeliness
Demonstrates the ability to seek improvement
Excellent teambuilding and interpersonal skills
Ability to lift, push and pull at least 10 pounds

Preferred

5+ years in a senior management or business development role is preferred
