Confidential company is seeking a Senior AV & Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead their engineering team in designing, deploying, and managing AV and mechanical systems for sports video technology. The role involves driving innovation, ensuring flawless execution from design to installation, and mentoring a growing team of technical professionals.

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and develop engineering staff across multiple integration, installation, and live event projects
Design and implement AV systems, including robotic cameras, switchers, replay systems, and LED walls
Oversee technical execution during live sports events, managing signal flow, camera operations, shading, and troubleshooting
Collaborate with production, creative, and venue teams to ensure seamless system integration
Manage AV equipment inventory, technical documentation, and maintenance schedules
Oversee budgets, vendor relationships, and equipment logistics to optimize operational efficiency
Evaluate emerging technologies and pilot innovative solutions to improve workflows and system performance

Required

5+ years of AV engineering experience, with strong expertise in video camera systems, live events, and sports environments

Deep understanding of video signal flow, camera systems, audio routing, and control networks
Demonstrated leadership and project management capabilities
Proficiency with AV design and documentation tools (e.g., D-Tools, Visio, AutoCAD)
Familiarity with AV inventory and control software (e.g., Microsoft 365)
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Broadcast Technology, or a related field

Preferred

AVIXA, SMPTE, CTS-D, or broadcast engineering certifications
Experience with LED wall integration, robotic camera control, and projection systems
Ability to thrive in high-pressure, fast-paced, and live environments
Exceptional communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Leadership development or mentorship experience
