Advanced Clinical is seeking a highly motivated Formulation Scientist to join their client’s team in Lexington, MA. This role focuses on the formulation and characterization of peptides, proteins, small molecules, and bioconjugates, supporting both in vitro and in vivo studies across the development pipeline.

Responsibilities

Develop and prepare peptide and protein injectable formulations for in vitro and in vivo studies, including selection of buffers, excipients, and surfactants

Conduct biophysical characterization and stability studies to support formulation development

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure selected dosage forms meet targeted biophysical and biochemical profiles

Contribute to early formulation screening strategies and execution

Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments, including biophysical and analytical characterization equipment

Perform laboratory work in a safe, efficient, and compliant manner to ensure a safe working environment

Required

Bachelor's degree required; degree in biological, biochemical, or pharmacological sciences preferred

Minimum of 2+ years of relevant technical experience

Strong expertise in injectable formulation development and biophysical characterization

Proficient in data analysis, interpretation, and drawing scientifically sound conclusions

Demonstrated experience managing projects and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams

Excellent written and verbal scientific communication skills

Strong attention to detail with experience documenting experimental work using electronic laboratory notebooks (ELN)

General knowledge of cGMP, GLP, and pharmaceutical regulatory requirements is a plus

Preferred

Experience with spectroscopy, calorimetry, light scattering, and other biophysical techniques for peptide and protein formulations preferred
