Responsibilities
Sets up and operates internal, centerless, surface, external, thread and universal grinders for production, experimental, and tool work
Must be able and is required to perform any type of difficult grinding work on any and all types grinders
Grinds steps, tapers, recesses, shoulders, angles, contours and threads
Must be able to set up truing devices on thread grinding for various types and forms of threads. Selects proper speeds, feeds, and wheels
Holds work to required tolerances. Setups are exacting, usually requiring firm and accurately set fixtures, rests or blocks
Qualification
Required
Three years of production grinding experience including setup
Must be able and is required to perform any type of difficult grinding work on any and all types grinders
Must be able to set up truing devices on thread grinding for various types and forms of threads

Holds work to required tolerances
