The VP of Marketing is responsible for developing and implementing brand strategies that enhance brand performance and equity while fostering a culture of collaboration and consumer insight within the marketing team.

Responsibilities
Build marketing capability within the Brand House team; coach and mentor the broader global marketing community
Inspire and align the global marketing organization behind an ambitious, culturally relevant growth strategy
Leverage all elements of capability building to embed the "One Beam Suntory Way of Marketing" across the enterprise
Nurture a passion for cultural, competitor, category, and consumer insights in brand strategy and execution
Go beyond the "what" to uncover the "why" behind consumer behavior and business data for future growth
Ensure strategies reflect global cultural and category differences while maintaining strong financial acumen linked to short- and long-term P&L delivery
Partner with the Master Blender/Distiller to ensure a unique, clearly articulated liquid story aligned with MBC and continuously evolve the liquid experience
Keep the Brand's timeless DNA at the heart of strategies; make tough decisions to protect long-term integrity
Lead development and application of distinctive identity and design codes across packaging and communications to build memory structure and brand saliency
Drive innovation agenda with cross-functional teams to deliver sustainable growth across priority brand/market combinations (PBMC)
Work with leadership to ensure BH 12 Year strategies and 3 Year Strat Plan are grounded in Brand DNA and address key consumer and market opportunities
Develop compelling positioning that connects the brand to modern culture and underpins global communication platforms
Lead development and sign-off of 3-Year Growth Plans and focused innovation strategies in collaboration with cross-functional and regional teams
Collaborate with the innovation team and Master Blender/Distiller to develop and approve an innovation strategy and pipeline that reinforces Brand DNA and meets commercial objectives
Leads ad-hoc performance diagnosis in PBMCs (when performance is behind plan)
Lead development of integrated brand experiences focused on "fewer, bigger" initiatives that engage consumers and excite trade partners
Drive brilliance in execution with strategic precision and attention to detail
Foster a culture of learning and accountability through KPI tracking and reviews
Ensure marketing plans meet financial targets and adapt to changing market and competitor dynamics with agility
Bring a bias for action and agility to the execution of the BH strategy and plans, ensuring that we respond appropriately to changing market and competitor dynamics
Qualification
Required
Proven leadership in global matrix organizations; strong communicator and influencer
Strategic thinker with expertise in consumer insights, brand strategy, and analytics
Experience in creative brand building, innovation, and agency partnerships
Strong commercial and financial acumen with P&L responsibility
Ability to build and develop high-performing teams
Curiosity for global cultures and digital-first consumer engagement
15+ years' consumer marketing experience
Demonstrable achievements in growing brands and managing complex brand portfolios
Strong commercial experience with P&L responsibility and demonstrated track record of engaging effectively with commercial partners to drive alignment and performance
Has managed and developed teams successfully and, ideally, has experience of leading diverse, global teams and talent
Preferred
Global CPG, luxury brands or spirits experience preferred
Business degree (MBA preferred)
