Accounting Services Lead
Haselden Construction is committed to fulfilling their customers’ needs and providing a superior level of service. They are seeking an Accounting Services Lead to manage the accounting department, supervise accounts payable operations, and ensure adherence to internal controls and audit support.

Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day accounts payable operations, including invoice processing, approvals workflow, payment runs, and vendor maintenance
Supervise and coach AP personnel, ensuring performance, accuracy, and timely processing
Maintain AP procedures and documentation. Identify and implement process improvements
Support adherence to internal controls across accounting functions; assist with documentation and continuous improvement of control activities
Maintain the Company’s fixed asset records, including additions, disposals, depreciation, and supporting documentation
Reconcile fixed asset subledger to the general ledger and support reporting needs
Maintain schedules and accounting for the Company’s notes payable and leases, including periodic reconciliations, entries, and supporting documentation
Coordinate with Operations/Leadership on new agreements to ensure proper accounting treatment and recordkeeping
Assist with preparation for internal and external audits, including PBC schedules, documentation, and responses to auditor requests
Support implementation and follow-up on audit recommendations as applicable
Assist with tax accruals and coordinate with the external CPA firm regarding tax planning, estimates, and compliance support as requested
Register new entities with the IRS and the Colorado Secretary of State and any other required registrations
Establish Bank Accounts for new entities as necessary
Send capital call requests as needed for new investment opportunities
Process all AP and AR functions for all entities including printing checks
Assist with cost research and post journal entries, as needed, to correct costs
Complete monthly Bank Reconciliation for all entities
Produce Financial Statements for all entities and distribute them to all necessary parties
Assist with quarterly estimate tax payments and yearly tax return preparation
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting/ or finance is required
Ability to multitask and perform under pressure is required
Effective interpersonal and organizational skills are essential
Having great interpersonal and verbal communication skills is crucial
A sound knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations
Experience in working with accounting software and databases
Superior data management and data analysis skills
Strong time management skills are required
Detail-oriented with a passion for accuracy
5+ years of accounting experience, 2 years leading AP functions and/or supervising staff
Preferred
Family office, tax planning, experience supporting audits and working with external CPAs strongly preferred
Construction experience preferred
