Responsibilities

Develop strong relationships with your key stakeholders, be recognized as a valued partner and influence business decisions
Quickly develop a deep understanding of your category and effectively communicate your vision to different levels of the organization
Translate and prioritize global category strategy for local needs. Proactive exchange with global sourcing teams to help influence global initiatives
Develop and implement RFP’s to meet / exceed performance objectives including financial and sustainability goals
Effective use of your negotiations skills to clearly define objectives in the contract with SLAs
Manage/consolidate category spend analytics and financial reporting
Own/ develop a strong supplier base and bring efficiencies for your category partners
Build KPI’s and guide greater productivity through a total cost of ownership approach

Required

Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, or related discipline
5+ years' experience strategic sourcing/purchasing and category management, preferably in retail, POS/Temporary displays and/or print
Ability to present and tell a story through financial data
Excellent influencing and negotiating skills
Strong knowledge of Microsoft suite of tools (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to handle various situations, multiple priorities, changing business needs
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence decisions, drive change management
Strong project management, negotiation, sourcing, and analytical skills
Autonomous with high level of drive and energy
Excellent oral and written communication/presentation skills

Preferred

MBA or other advanced degree
General understanding of the US retail market
