Mortenson is currently seeking a Senior Payroll Administrator to manage and ensure the accuracy of end-to-end time capture and reconciliation of timecards. The role involves implementing time capture processes, reviewing timecards, preparing payroll reports, and resolving payroll inquiries.

Responsibilities

Implement end-to-end Time capture process, including regulatory and union work rules, audit, time transfer, reporting, and filings

Review and reconcile timecards before weekly and bi-weekly pay runs

Prepare and review weekly timekeeping/payroll reports, including data entry and associated reporting

Retain time and attendance records for historical questions and audits

Prepare and audit time records for daily off-cycle checks

Maintain and test systems during enhancements, upgrades, or new work rules

Research and resolve complex payroll inquiries from project teams, business services, or team members

Liaison for Payroll team with project teams, ensuring correct recording of worked hours

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent education and experience

Minimum five years payroll experience in a multi-state environment

Positive, professional attitude with excellent customer service skills

Ability to balance multiple priorities with a sense of urgency

High accuracy in following complex processes and implementing improvements

Knowledge of Fair Labor Standards Act, state payroll requirements, federal and state payroll taxes, and standard accounting procedures

Preferred

Preferred knowledge of Passport timekeeping, Oracle payroll, or ADP

Experience with unions and CPP certification a plus
