Learning Content Developer

Responsibilities

Design and develop training materials and programs based on identified learning needs and company direction
Develop micro-learning content, job aids, one-page learning tools, and training materials to reinforce learning process
Build scenario-based learning content to include real-time feedback for teammates
Design and develop engaging learning content for various platforms and formats
Develop tools and resources that are simple, intuitive, and easy for store-level teams to administer
Update and revise learning materials based on company directives, industry changes, feedback, and evaluation metrics
Deliver engaging training materials using various methods (e.g., training manuals, e-learning, on-the-job guides)
Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather information to develop and maintain relevant training materials
Conduct needs analysis and assessments to identify learnings gaps and opportunities
Conduct research on current adult learning trends, methodologies, and technologies to enhance curriculum development
Gather insights from field observations and LMS data to determine training updates and process improvements

Required

Bachelor's degree in HR, Education, Instructional Design or related field or equivalent work experience. Combination of education and/or equivalent work experience in a related field considered
3+ years of experience in training, instructional design, or learning program development
Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), e-learning authoring tools, micro-learning, and platform-based communication tools
Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies
Experience supporting optical, healthcare, retail or service-based organizations
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Exceptional presentation, facilitation, and delivery skills
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Skilled in prioritizing tasks and independently managing multiple projects simultaneously
Able to work at all levels of the organization
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Solid problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of programs
Ability to effectively communicate at all levels within the organization through written and two-way verbal communication
Able to sit or stand for extended periods of time
Able to operate various office equipment (e.g., personal computer, telephone, fax machine, copier, etc.)
Able to read and write at a high school graduate level
Able to lift 10 to 20 pounds
Able to view/read computer screen for extended periods of time
Able to work normal and/or extended (evenings, nights, and weekends) office hours to meet established deadlines
Able to travel independently to support Company objectives and personal development
Able to travel to meet training needs (auto, airline, overnight, etc.)
