Responsibilities
Lead and deliver high-quality P&C designs for substations, data centers, industrial, and BESS projects
Develop protection schemes, schematics, wiring diagrams, relay settings, and related P&C documentation
Coordinate with designers, relay setting engineers, commissioning teams, vendors, and customers
Support IEC 61850 architecture, SCADA integration, communications, and cybersecurity requirements
Perform design calculations (DC systems, auxiliary power, CT/PT sizing, voltage drop, etc.)
Support FAT, SAT, outages, commissioning, and field testing activities
Prepare engineering estimates and support proposal development
Conduct peer reviews and contribute to continuous improvement, standards, and lessons learned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Power preferred)
5+ years of experience in protection and control engineering for AIS/GIS substations
Experience with relay protection schemes, communications, and substation P&C systems
Strong communication skills; ability to work independently and in teams
Willingness to travel up to 20%
Preferred
PE license or EIT (with intent to obtain PE) preferred
Experience with ETAP, Aspen OneLiner, or similar tools
Knowledge of NERC-CIP and grid interconnection requirements
Strong organizational, customer-facing, and problem-solving skills
