Responsibilities

Provide task analysis, cost analysis and proposals for implementation of new processes or improvements to existing processes
Develop PFMEA’s, Control Plans, etc. for successful launch of programs. Evaluates these documents on a regular basis for updates
Ensure newly developed parts and tooling are correctly installed and functioning properly
Re-engineer components until producing desired results
Collaborate with established personnel to implement standard operating procedures and resolve system malfunctions
Develop, plan and model alternate processing methods to test feasibility of new applications of system components, and recommend implementation of improved procedures, process improvements and/or set-up reduction techniques
Collaborate with workers in other departments such as marketing, training and development, and engineering, to provide technical information
Participate in meetings, seminars, and training sessions as needed to stay apprised of new developments in field
Develop and conduct related equipment training programs and demonstrates skills to trainees (serves as a mentor or coach to established personnel)
Devise, fabricate, and assemble new or modified mechanical components or assemblies for products such as industrial equipment and machinery, power equipment, servo systems, machine tools, and measuring instruments
Implementation and documentation for new manufacturing processes and equipment procurement
Maintain work instructions and procedures as required to assure uniformity and consistency in manufacturing activities. Ensures that all necessary documents (work plans and process control plans) are maintained and made available to appropriate departmental personnel as needed
Involved in all aspects of project planning
Monitor function, cycle time and other pertinent parameters of production equipment
Recommend and initiate corrective action for problems identified on production equipment
Identify and develop tooling to reduce cycle time, costs and/or operator problems
Provide technical support for other departments (Design) regarding production issues
Develop/Optimize process flow to increase efficiency of operation
Prepare reports concerning departmental activities as required
Perform other assignments as needed

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university
One to three years of Industrial Production Control, Measurement, and Planning experience
Knowledge of PFMEA's and Control Plans
