The Microbiology Lab Intern will support microbiological testing in a pharmaceutical GMP environment, gaining hands-on experience in regulated laboratory operations such as sterility testing and microbial analysis.

Responsibilities
Assist with sample preparation and support testing such as Microbial Limits (USP), Sterility (USP), and Endotoxin (USP)
Prepare and verify culture media and perform basic microbiological techniques (e.g., Gram staining)
Support Environmental Monitoring in ISO-classified cleanrooms
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment under supervision (e.g., incubators, autoclaves, biosafety cabinets)
Document activities in compliance with GMP/GLP and LIMS requirements
Follow SOPs and maintain a clean, organized work area
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Microbiology or Biology with a microbiology emphasis
Ability to work in a regulated pharmaceutical environment
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
Preferred
Preferably in junior or senior year of study
Basic understanding of aseptic technique, culture handling, and pharmacopoeial methods
