Responsibilities
The Multi-employer Pension Practice Leader / Consulting Actuary will oversee a team of approximately four professionals and be responsible for ensuring that all pension-related deliverables are completed accurately, on time, and to the firm’s high standards
This role is designed to serve as the senior technical and operational leader for the pension practice, functioning as a true counterpart to the senior health consultant who leads the firm’s health department
The Multi-employer Pension Practice Leader / Consulting Actuary serves as the day-to-day contact for pension clients as well as performs high-level technical reviews to ensure accuracy, regulatory compliance, and consistency across deliverables
This role plays a key leadership role in operations—streamlining workflows, improving documentation, evaluating software solutions, and formalizing procedures to enhance efficiency, consistency, and quality across the pension department
Qualification
Required
15+ years of actuarial experience in multi-employer pension and benefits consulting environments
Expertise in managing all aspects of multi-employer pension plans including review of actuarial results
Strong technical actuarial background with demonstrated attention to detail and experience with ProVal
Highly client-service oriented, with strong written and verbal communication skills
ASA/FSA and EA
Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science or related field, required
