The role blends field oversight, reporting, and project coordination—ideal for someone on the EIT ? PE track who still likes being close to the work.

Responsibilities

Prepare clear, accurate field reports, test results, and technical recommendations; review staff reports for accuracy and completeness

Manage projects from setup through closeout, including scheduling staff, coordinating with clients and construction teams, site visits, report preparation, invoicing, budget review, collections, and meeting participation

Participate in approved professional events and assist with proposal preparation

Oversee field staff to ensure work complies with project plans, specifications, and applicable codes. Manage field and laboratory testing in accordance with ASTM and other applicable standards

Follow all safety policies, attend required training, and wear appropriate PPE

Required

Bachelor's degree from an accredited engineering, geology, or approved environmental science program

Engineers and geologists must have passed the EIT/GIT exam and obtain PE or PG licensure when eligible

Maintain required ACI, ICC, OSHA, and other certifications as directed

Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and perform physically demanding fieldwork, including concrete sampling and testing, soil density testing, hand augering up to 10 feet, and operation of nuclear density gauges and penetrometers over uneven terrain

Valid driver's license and insurable driving record required
