Compliance Officer
IHMVCU is seeking a detail-oriented Compliance Officer to join the team at their Headquarters office in Moline, IL. The Compliance Officer will be responsible for ensuring strategic initiatives and departmental processes comply with regulatory requirements and will manage the overall Compliance Management System for the credit union.

Responsibilities
Manage and maintain an updated CMS that shows our compliance risk. Provide a monthly report and a high-level response on our compliance risk including but not limited to: ADA, compliance review memos, testing plan, CMS, proposed and final rules
Assist with creating and assisting with compliance workpapers and determining testing scope for compliance reviews
Review, track, and implement final regulations to ensure compliance with any rule changes. Also, act as an advocate for proposed rule changes and responding on behalf of the credit union to proposed rules that may impact us
Responsible for answering complex compliance related questions from staff, and reviewing research conducted by other team members in the department to ensure we are providing accurate responses. Specific knowledge and research of specialty accounts
Mentor, train, and work hands on with the Risk Services team members in tasks and complex member situations
Act as the Credit Union expert in Tax Reporting for the IRS. Also, work the CP2100 and any other IRS correspondence to ensure compliance
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience
Minimum of 5 years experience within Financial Institution
Minimum of 5 years in Compliance, Risk or Controls Audit Testing experience
Achieve Credit Union Compliance Expert (CUCE) certification within 1 year
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data
Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and problem-solving abilities
High level of integrity and commitment to regulatory practices
