Program & Operations Coordinator

REACH GREEN is a nonprofit organization dedicated to combating climate change by fostering climate-resilient neighborhoods and preserving green spaces. The Program & Operations Coordinator will support programs, event operations, and participant engagement, gaining hands-on experience in nonprofit operations and community building.

Philanthropic Fundraising Services

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for participants, volunteers, and partners
Assist with planning and execution of virtual and community-based events throughout the year
Be on-site and support on-site needs at all REACH GREEN events
Draft clear, compelling participant communications (instructions, logistics, safety notes, fundraising tips)
Conduct outreach to athletic groups, run clubs, fitness communities, and local influencers to recruit participants
Develop and manage event registration, including sign-up pages and tracking
Support cost-effective event promotion through grassroots outreach, community groups, athletic clubs, and partnerships
Set up and maintain REACH GREEN’s online fundraising platform
Track fundraising progress and prepare simple summary reports for leadership
Support drafting and sending participant updates and event-related emails
Maintain and grow the CRM, ensuring clean data, accurate tagging, and consistent capture of new contacts
Provide basic support with social media or simple website updates (not required)
Research partners, athletic communities, environmental topics, or grant opportunities
Prepare outreach lists, presentations, summaries, event documents, and post-event reports
Maintain organized records, tracking systems, schedules, and internal documentation
Provide general administrative support, including scheduling and inbox management
Assist leadership as needed across a wide range of operational tasks

Required

You have a Bachelor's degree, which is required for this position
You hold a valid U.S. driver's license and can travel for events as needed
A strong writer and communicator who can craft clear instructions, outreach emails, and participant updates
Curious, resourceful, and eager to learn how a nonprofit operates
A self-starter who takes initiative and enjoys figuring things out
Passionate about community impact, sports/fitness, outdoor recreation, environmental action, or nonprofit work
Organized, dependable, and comfortable working remotely
Friendly and at ease interacting with participants, volunteers, and partners
Experience volunteering or interning for a nonprofit, athletic group, or community organization is a plus
Experience working with social media (e.g., creating and posting content), simple website updates, or digital content is helpful but not required

Preferred

Marketing or Business Administration experience (internships, part-time work, etc.)
Experience with Google Workspace, Canva, HubSpot/Mailchimp, or event/fundraising platforms
Familiarity with CRM systems such as HubSpot or Salesforce
Background in athletic clubs, fitness events, community programs, or volunteer coordination
Participate in and are passionate about athletics, endurance sports, outdoor recreation, climate resilience, or environmental stewardship
