Assistant/Associate Project Scientist - Neurobiology -Department of Neuroscience

Responsibilities

Utilize transgenic mouse models to characterize neuropeptide function in various brain regions using in vivo electrophysiology, in vivo fiber photometry and various manipulation methods including optogenetics to modulate neural activity during behavioral assays
Keep detailed records of experiments performed, conclusions made, and communication of results orally and through lab notebook records
Contribute to the authoring of grant proposals, manuscripts, and conference papers

Required

PhD (or equivalent international degree)
At least two years post Post-PhD research experience

Preferred

A strong scientific track record with peer-reviewed publication(s)
Previous experience working with in vivo electrophysiology, neuroanatomy, rodent behavior and/or bioinformatics is an advantage
Previous experience working on neuropeptides
Programming skills (MATLAB, Python) and ability in data analysis and visualization is a strong advantage
