Responsibilities

Provide direct supervision of the Plant Operations Director

Assist in the overall operation of the department providing optimum and cost-effective operations of all equipment, buildings, and grounds and other hospital properties

Provide management and ownership of all construction projects under the direction of the Director of Facilities Management

Comply with hospital standards and corporate policy and procedures for managing supplies and equipment, promoting teamwork with staff, peers, physicians, and hospital administration

Direct and supervise construction planning and development; lead corporate initiatives for facility improvements, and make appropriate recommendations

Coordinate with department management to ensure the facility complies with Joint Commission and all other regulatory standards

HVAC experienceBuilding Automation SystemsConstruction managementBoiler certificationMaster Electrician licenseOral communicationWritten communication

Required

10-15 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience in hospital building maintenance and construction management

Strong oral and written communication skills

Preferred

HVAC and Building Automation System experience highly preferred

Boiler, HVAC/Refrigeration/ Master Electrician license/certifications preferred
