Responsibilities

Lead end‑to‑end execution of renewable energy tax credit transactions, including negotiations, diligence, and closings
Serve as the primary negotiator with sponsors and legal counsel on commercial and tax-related deal terms
Develop investment memos, financial models, and presentations that clearly articulate risks, economics, and recommendations
Manage investor communications, including benefit schedules and key deliverables through funding
Coordinate with the asset management team to ensure a seamless transition post‑closing
Oversee third‑party reports and diligence items, ensuring timely delivery and accurate documentation
Maintain comprehensive records to support internal and external obligations
Assist with sourcing new tax credit investment opportunities through direct sponsor relationships and intermediaries
Support underwriting efforts, including modelling and initial due diligence
Represent the firm at industry events and conferences as needed

Required

Advanced Excel skills and fluency with complex project finance models (non‑technical: ability to build and interpret financial models used to evaluate large-scale energy projects)
Strong understanding of renewable energy tax equity structures (e.g., ITC/PTC, partnership flips, inverted leases, preferred equity, transfers)
Solid grasp of financial, accounting, and tax concepts
Exceptional communication skills and ability to deliver polished presentations
Proven experience leading diligence and negotiating tax credit transactions
Strong judgment and ability to drive decisions in complex environments
High personal accountability, urgency, and integrity
5+ years of direct experience in renewable energy tax credit investing, including modelling, legal negotiations, and diligence
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field

Preferred

Experience closing renewable energy tax credit transactions preferred
Exposure to non‑renewable tax credit assets (e.g., carbon capture, manufacturing) is a plus
