Future Wave Recruiting Solutions, LLC is partnering with a client to hire a Project Engineer to support field engineering and Quality Control (QC) activities on active projects. The role involves providing technical support across various functions including QC, estimating, and subcontractor coordination, while ensuring project execution and quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

Support the Project Manager and Superintendent with field engineering and QC functions

Implement and maintain a site Quality Control program aligned with SOPs, project specs, and approved work plans

Develop and help deliver QC training for field personnel

Perform site surveying, as-builts, blueprint interpretation, and manage RFIs/REIs

Conduct QC testing and inspections to ensure compliance and quality standards

Assist with estimating, bidding, material purchasing, cost tracking, and invoicing

Support subcontractor coordination and performance tracking

Prepare and manage submittals and production documentation

Analyze materials, equipment, and construction practices to improve efficiency, quality, and cost control

Compare actual project costs to estimates and assist with reporting

Prepare periodic progress and cost reports for leadership

Collaborate with design teams to resolve issues and adjust plans as needed

Ensure compliance with applicable codes, guidelines, and best practices

Work closely with operations and other project engineers to troubleshoot issues and share solutions

Exercise authority to stop work when safety or QC concerns arise

Required

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a relevant field, such as: Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Environmental Engineering, Geology, Hydrology, Hydrogeology, Environmental or Earth Sciences

Several years of QC/engineering experience may be considered in lieu of a directly related degree

Experience implementing and enforcing QA/QC programs in the field

Strong attention to detail with solid analytical and problem-solving skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and working knowledge of AutoCAD and digitizing tools

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills
